Default Signal light and tail light lens

    Hi

New to the board and just bought my first Westfalia (1984 Vanagon) and since I bought it out of province in Canada I had to do a lot of small things to get it ready for insurance.

My mechanic can't find a right tail light lens and a left front signal light lens from his regular part suppliers. He could assign someone to search the net but I'm cheaper.

Anyone know where I could find these?

It seems a small thing but they won't pass my vehicle with cracked lenses.

Thanks and looking forward to exploring the board and meeting fellow owners.

    Have you tried "gowesty.com"?
There are possibly a number of places I can suggest in Quebec, but that may be too far.
    Good luck,

Have you tried CIP1...they have a warehouse in Canada. These are rather expensive new but are rather cheap used. Check out the classified section over at www.thesamba.com. The tail light lenses are a genuine VW part but the turn signal light lenses are aftermarket.
Another idea is to enter the part number into Google and see what pops up.
A great source for part numbers is Bus Depot. Check out their website...they have good prices and lots of pictures.
I have shipped used Vanagon parts to Canada and once in awhile the shipping is costlier than the part itself.....so beware if you buy something here in the States.
Congratulations on your new toy...now change your fuel lines !!!
