Default 81 westy BA6 factory hauxilliary heater

    Hello all,

I've got my fuel pump pumping, fans blowing, timer timing.
My problem lies within no spark. I know my plug is bad due
to broken resistor. But upon inserting a regular plug I get no
spark. I suspect my coil. How can I check to see if I have voltage
to my coil? I am not electrically minded any help greatly
    appreciated.
Additionally I know my coil wire is good.

    Thank you

pull the coil wire out of the distrutor cap,try and put it 1/4in from ground and see if there's a spark.don't hold the wire with your hands.maybe hold it with rubber grip pliers.but don't the metal of pliers when turning engine over.hold on the rubber part of pliers or you'll get shocked(then you know if you got spark)
