Default 1978 Westfalia will not start.

The battery has been fully charged and I have also tried to jump it to rule out the battery and still only get the same sound as in the video above.

I have changed the alternator about 6 months ago but it has run fine since then.

The sound seems to be coming from underneath the van from the engine area on the driver's side towards the front of the vehicle.

Any suggestions are much appreciated. The electrical side of auto repair is my weak point.

replace starter, the click is soleniod kicking in,but starter is hanging up.1st make sure the bolts are tight on starter.your motor isn't siezed up is it.does motor turn over?have you try push start it to see if motor turns over or turn it over with 1/2 in breaker bar and socket.try rocking the van in gear to move the flywheel to see if starter will engage in different part on flywheel.
