We've been contacted by a production company that is shooting a pilot for a reality television program involving distinctive traveling "homes" and their unique owners.

Do you have a lovingly preserved, converted, prized, charming, outrageous and unusual camper van?

We're talking about anything from VW Westfalias to hippie school buses here. No modern motor homes need apply.

And, just as importantly, are you someone who could talk about your vehicle with engaging passion on camera, telling us about its history and your adventures together?

Vincent is a 1965 VW camper (his birthday is this month!) He goes up and down the west coast carrying me, Dave Manning, to my various gigs.

You see, I play musc for a living in bars, casinos and wherever will pay the bills. I live in Vincent full time, and I bought him when I was 17: (the first car I ever bought! 18 years ago) .

He's been to Folsom Prison where I played, Arlo Guthrie autographed him. What's more is that I do a radio show about my travels every week, it airs on KWMD in Anchorage, or on the web at www.davemanning.net

We have been contacted by Westfalia Van Conversion GmbH to advise us that they are putting their musuem up for sale.

The vehicles in the museum will be auctioned on eBay Germany starting July 24th.

The next big thing in SUVs is small SUVs. By now you're probably tired of reading that buyers are shunning large sport utes and migrating to diesel powered hybrids that sip homegrown organic biofuel (I'm kidding, but not by much). These days the only SUVs that are flying off the lot are Small Utility Vehicles, the well known players being CR-V, RAV4, Escape, Forester and Vue.
